Logistics

Logistics plays an important role in the supply chain process.

This Team is responsible for analysing the customer delivery schedules, planning the material and labour need, guaranteeing the installed production capacity. They are in charge of the warehouse inventory and of arranging the transport from/to suppliers and customers.

The scheduling revision is crucial, because it allows to define the demand feasibility and give an immediate feedback to customer on deliveries and lead-times.

ERP elaborates the input data and schedules the production with the standard cycle time and the MRP need.

In this phase, bottlenecks are detected and corrective action are shared among the Team Leaders of the different departments.

The right warehouse handling is fundamental to guarantee a linear production flow, and, at the same time, to avoid any extra raw material, wip/ finished parts and consequent additional costs.
